1. Winter Woods Scents

Jake and I have fallen in love with this winter woods scent of birch, pine, basalm, musk, and amber. This candle is something I look forward to burning every winter season and it fills the entire apartment with a cozy scent. We burned the last bit of wax out of it last week.

2. Lip Balm

The hospital has incredibly dry air. I've gone through more lip balm this winter than I ever have. My lips were cracked, broken, peeling, and at some points were even bleeding. I tried many lip balms this winter, but my favorite has been the Vaseline Pink Bubbly! The protection lasted the longest with that one.

3. Indoor Greens

I know January seems like a weird time to say that a plant has been a favorite, but I love the looks of this beautiful green plant in the corner of our apartment. It adds just the right amount of color to our mostly neutral space. Jake even picked out that little marble table from Target, I think it looks perfect

4. A Series of Unfortunate Events

This Netflix show brings me back to my love of the dark tales of the Baudelaire orphans when I was in grade school. The costumes, acting, props, and scenes are all so well done, and it makes the show fun to watch. Plus, Neil Patrick Harris makes the perfect Count Olaf!

We've also loved Medici Masters of Florence on Netflix!

5. La La Land and $5 Tuesdays

Jake and I do our best each winter to watch most of the Oscar nominees before the Oscars. We both really enjoyed La La Land, and even though I bawled at the end because I would have written it much differently, I was emotionally drawn in multiple times. If you live around a $5 Tuesday theater like the Marcus chains, then this is an affordable weekday date night (plus they give you free popcorn!). Next on my list is Hidden Figures.
