I've read countless posts and advice online about lining (and filling in) your lips before you apply a lip color with a nude lip liner. This will help keep any other lip color you use from fading so fast or feathering. I also have noticed that lip liner over all of the lips with lipgloss on top has made for an easy, long lasting, your lips but better, lip color. Plus, drawing juuuuust on the border of where the lip meets the skin makes the lips look larger.
The Charlotte Tilbury Lipcheat in PillowTalk is all of the beauty bloggers' holy grail "your lips but better" lip liner. I've posted about it before, in fact, I've used up almost two of these pencils since I discovered them last year. The formula is creamy and long lasting, it's perfect.
However, I recently discovered the Maybelline ColorSensational Lip Shaping Pencils and firmly believe that these are the best alternative to the Charlotte Tilbury Lipcheats! These are very creamy, long lasting, and the colors come in a variety of neutral shades. They had the same staying power as the Charlotte Tilbury Lipcheat in my handwashing test when I washed off the swatches! They have a more precise application with their fine pointed tip, and it's great you don't have to sharpen them.
At Walgreens and Ulta the Maybelline Shaping Lipliners are buy 2 get 1 free right now.

The shade Dusty Rose is almost identical to Pillowtalk, although I realize the swatches don't do it justice.
