gift guide: splurge

Deserve to be splurged on by your significant other ( or yourself!) this year?? Check these out.

Jake and I aren't exchanging gifts this year (we like to take our trips as our gifts!) but if we were....here's the gift ideas I'd give him!

The high and mighty of all hairbrushes. Meant to last a lifetime. The benefits of boar brushes are amazing. I've been using a cheaper version (where the bristles have already fallen out) and it's been great allowing me to go longer in between shampoos without a greasy buildup. They pull product (and oils) down away from your scalp so built up dry shampoo/root lifter/hairspray/whatever is not all clogged up at the scalp. They also claim that by massaging your scalp and stimulating blood flow that they enhance hair growth.

I tried these on in New York and haven't been able to stop dreaming of them since. I admittedly have more sunglasses than I can wear regularly but I stick to my favorite two pairs regularly and I know this one would be my new favorite for sure. PSA sunglasses with UV protection can be worn year round - protect those retinas from damage and the skin around your eyes from wrinkles.

My moto leather leggings are incredible. I've had them over a year and wear them at least once a week in the fall/winter. They would make a great gift too -- I swear they make you look a size smaller than you are!! This solid pair is a great addition but I also love this camo version!

I have two favorite planners. This one which is PERFECT for studying and for people who need to organize each day in order to be productive (would be an awesome gift for yourself as well! I've loved it the last four years.). The one I picked for this year is a Golden Coil planner I hand-designed and I love how you can add your text in so each planner is customized exactly how you like it. They even type birthdays in for you! It's very basic and neutral with clean lines. I'll do a full review on it later!

The round charm I wear everyday is this pendant. Some of Jake's letter that he wrote to me on our wedding day is engraved on the back in his handwriting. My sister, Dad, and I gave Mom one for her birthday with Dad's writing on it. My sister has one as well. It's high quality, OK to shower and sleep in without worrying about tarnish. If you are wanting to have it engraved I'd go to the company website though and upload what you want engraved. For a gift, it still looks great with every outfit not engraved too! PS We all have the 24" fine chain. This is one of my favorite things I own.

I've gone on and on about the benefits of sleeping on silk (for your skin and hair) so I won't ramble on more. Love this.

I discovered Charlotte Tilbury's incredible line last year. I haven't purchased makeup since. I could do a whole post on her wonderful, high-quality, and gorgeous products. I don't own this highly-rated, award-winning contour kit but I'm sure it won't disappoint.

The internet has been buzzing about this French candle. I don't know if it's because of the looks or the amazing scent. I haven't smelled it, and may never. But my sources who haven't disappointed me yet say this is one of the best out there. (The pink has been sold out in US so I linked the holographic version)

I have this mat in blue for my Piyo workouts and have been using it for years. It's really thick, and has a good grip so you won't slip. It absorbs sweat so it's never slippery. Plus it's oversized so you can fully stretch and stay on the mat during the entire workout.

Check out my gift guide for under $25 in this post and under $50 in this post
