One of my favorite things to do at the start of a new year is open a new planner and start organizing my life.
As a college and medical student who devoted a lot of time to studying, I needed a planner that had my days on one day per page so I could set hourly goals and expectations to stay on task and make sure I covered all of the information required. The best planner for that is this one, you can see my posts on how I used it video and post here . (That planner is amazing it just depends what stage of life you're in and what suits your needs!)
Now that I work long hours and study before and after work, I don't need to plan out every hour and have a page devoted to an entire day. What I loved about my old planner was the daily inspiration, daily to do list, weekly gratitude, goal setting sheets, and quality of the paper and planner itself. When I saw the Golden Coil planners, I knew this would be my next planner!
Golden Coil is a company that allows you to create your planner online and they will print it for you and ship it. You customize everything. You are able to input all of your birthdays, addresses, heck even recipes if you want. You can select what holidays appear on your calendar. That way when it's printed it's all neatly printed in the perfect font. You also get to design the layout and what extra pages you want! Also, you can choose what months your planner starts and ends (I started mine in Oct 2018 and will end in Dec 2019). I ordered it in "Leather Onyx"
Everything about this planner screams minimal and neat, which I love! Simplifying everything in my life has been something I've been working on and will continue to work on in 2019. The big gold coil lines up the pages perfectly, and easier than any other planner I've seen. It's truly a perfect coil (trust me you didn't know the other coils were bad until you felt and moved this one around). The pages don't bleed, and they also include thin gold page markers (you can see them in the photos). It's so neat and tidy I even devoted a special black pen for writing in it in fear or getting it messy, haha!
As far as extra pages go, I made three of the "Year at a Glance" pages in the front so that I can write in an overview of studying on one, my residency rotations on another, and books I've read for the final one. I put in a couple massive To Do lists, a password page, addresses (I blurred them out in the photo), and then I did a week on two pages with the to do lists on the side. I added pages for brainstorming (like blog ideas), shopping lists, fitness planning and then I chose 25+ pages lined and blank in the back of the planner for whatever I come up with next! I love that I can use this as a journal/notebook too!
** I see from their website that many of the covers are sold out. I encourage you to wait for the restock since you can pick what months you start on anyway it doesn't matter!! ***
Every planner cost the same so just order the most pages you can!
The photos don't do it justice, but if you need that extra organization in your life, you will love this!
