John Steinbeck wrote "Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone." I couldn't agree more, this town was absolutely incredible.
The city of Positano is located on the Amalfi coast. The rich and famous have travelled here for years to soak in this beauty. I cried when I saw how beautiful these massive cliffs are and how they just fall to meet the sea. I couldn't stop looking at everything, and fortunately there were plenty of balconies with breathtaking views. There are boatloads of tourists who get dropped off during the day, but if you stay in the city you have the most amazing time before they get there in the morning, and after they leave in the afternoon. We stayed here and spent the busiest hours of the day looking at the boats (the Walmart family yacht and creator of Dreamworks yacht --top ten yachts in the world -- was right over our balcony!) and relaxing by the hotel pool. For now, check out some shots we took around this small town. For a walk along the big beach check out this post, and for out trip to Capri go here.
Positano is famous for its Lemoncello!! Our boat captain Pepe made us some from scratch!
I'll be editing Rome and a short video from Positano this weekend - stay tuned.
