TO DO

Take a Vacation

Whether it's a getaway for 1-2 nights in the city or camping for the weekend, taking a vacation is a wonderful way to wind down and refocus your life. We recently got back from ours, and vacations really allow you to be grateful for what you have and celebrate the joys in your life. And if you are planning to spend time on the water - cool pool floats are a must! You can shop ours by checking out the "Shop" Tab at the top of this page.

TO SEE

We rented this movie last weekend and loved it. The storyline, the way it made you think, the special effects, it was everything. Highly recommend renting this!

TO TRY

Green Tea.

Green Tea is packed with antioxidants (you know the stuff the prevents against free radical damage - aging/disease/destruction) . If you aren't a huge fan of hot tea (like me), then make it iced. So refreshing for the afternoon, I like this mint version that I get at Hy-vee. In addition, some studies indicate green tea will reduce your risk of heart disease and lower your blood pressure and cholesterol. Plus it's been shown to decrease your appetite!

TO READ

This book has been on my list for so long, and I regret not starting it sooner! It's easy to read and easy to follow while at the same time telling such an action packed story. I loved following the character's story and I cared deeply for all of them! The story is about an ex government agent (she's a doctor) who did secret work and is on the run because her old organization is trying to kill her for reasons you find out. She never knows who to trust and her paranoia isn't as crazy as it sounds because they'll stop at nothing to get her.

TO MAKE

Homemade Ice Cream

Whether you use the machine that you wind or the automated kind, there's something about homemade ice cream that's just so satisfying. Coming up with new flavors is a blast, but adding them to cookies (like we've been doing every week - post here) makes it all even better.

TO TASTE

Kabobs

There are a million varieties of kabobs to be made this summer! My favorites are hawaiian chicken (recipe here) and these salmon ones, but you can never go wrong with the basic pepper/onion/steak combo either. Get creative and get grilling!
