TO DO
Watch Ozark.
We have been extremely hooked on this Netflix TV series. Full of mystery that always has you wondering what will happen next. If you are looking for a new show, this is a great choice!
TO SEE
A Simple Favor.
Another dark mystery, this movie with Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick was fantastic! It was funny, smart, and full of suspense. The acting was phenomenal and it has something for everyone! (Except kids)
TO TRY
Fall Candles.
I loved hearing everyone's fall candle recs on instagram and I'd like to check them all out! ( or at least smell them all!) Jake and I settled on the latest fall line from Capri Blue - he prefers the pumpkin one and I am obsessed with the "fall leaves" one! Gosh, I am tempted to buy another fall leaves one and light it all year round! It's hard to describe what makes these two so special but they bring scent into the entire room and they are more complex scents than the normal bath and body candle (don't get me wrong, love them too!). The mix of spices is so comforting and these candles will last much, much longer than bath and body. Some of our other fall candle favorites + candle burning tips are in this post.
TO READ
This book was hilarious and sad at the same time. Eleanor lives alone and is such an interesting person (reminds me of Sheldon Cooper). She's witty, blunt, and says exactly what comes to her mind. The story follows her as she branches out for the first time and it also uncovers some of the things in her past that caused her some trauma. Supposedly this is to become a major motion picture produced by Reese Witherspoon in the near future! Go check this out!
TO MAKE
A DIY Fall Centerpiece
My centerpiece consists of small white pumpkins and gourds in a hurricane glass. Even though it's really simple, it still adds a nice touch of fall to my tiny table. With pumpkins and gourds, more is more. Put them in a glass vase, line them up with greens on a table, place them on candle sticks for added height, put them in a bowl, or on a tray with some added details. I linked a few of my favorite centerpieces you can try at home too : this one with eucalyptus and white pumpkin , this one with deer antler accents , and this light up pinecone version.
TO TASTE
I know summer's on it's way out, but this drink can stay. It's a fun drink to serve with friends (or just for yourself!). Not super sweet, but the fresh grapefruit makes it so refreshing!
