splurge, save, steal : hairspray

Hairsprays come in wide varieties. From sticky, crunchy, and immobile, to flexible and bouncy. I've been testing out a few hairsprays the past few months and here are my top picks for a flexible bouncy hold, with no residue, that will keep your style intact all day.

The L'Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray has been used by runways and beauty junkies for a long time. The hold is build-able (think a light dusting if you want to keep your hair bouncy, and add more for a thicker, more solid hold). I love this hairspray and I love the price!

The Living Proof Hairspray is perfect for a very lightweight hairspray that keeps your hair incredibly bouncy, but still holds the style. I like to use it before I style my hair and brush it through. It has a scent like Play-Doh that some people hate but, I actually like it.

I had a sample of the Oribe hairspray in a subscription box from a while back. It certainly holds your style the best of all three, it keeps your curls intact for days, even through sleeping, and a little goes a long way. Beauty bloggers love this stuff, but I think the L'Oreal will do a similar job at a better price point! (However, the Oribe texture spray is a game changer)

What's your favorite hairspray?

PS: the girl below was up at 3AM for her rotation and washed her hair immediately after the photo was taken. The attempt at spraying down flyaways for a blog photo did not really work out as it was meant too! :)
